1. I am of a firm opinion that one must invest in a house as an asset as it enables one to have an asset to bank on in emergency scenario.
2. It even enables one to gain by virtue of home loan tax soaps and thus in case one works out the amount an individual has to pay as EMI works out very meagre as rent is saved, one gets the home loan tax benefits and of course has an asset which is appreciating in price.
